Monday November 16th 2009 – 5:20am I will answer all your emails later but for now, I have a doctor's visit today and so I must get ready. I should be back in the afternoon. This is just a follow-up visit; no tests, no surgery. I have one more follow-up visit coming up on Thursday but this is with the heart specialist and hopefully, this should be it for awhile. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

5:10am For the history buffs: The movie based on H. G. Well’s 1897 classic novel titled The Invisible Man opened in theaters on this date in 1933. Its premise, rather simple, is about a scientist who turns himself invisible but the formula slowly drives him insane, which causes him to terrorize the countryside as an invisible killer. …….... and on November 16, 1957 Edward Gein of Plainfield Wisconsin was caught. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre & Psycho were loosely based on his life. Edward Gein was known to his neighbors as being a kind and generous man, always giving away “free deer meat” and often eating such himself if invited to dinner. However, it was later revealed after his arrest that Gein never killed a single deer. The truth as to where the meat really came from forced many of Plainfield’s residents to shudder and ‘become sick.’ ……… and on November 16, 1996 in Casablanca, Valparaiso, Chile several local students at the basic Manuel Baquedano school reported encountering several little gnome like men who wore different color clothing and usually hid in the trees and bushes. Their leader appeared to be an aged looking one, dressed in black who threw stones at the curious children and emitted strange shrieking sounds trying to scare he children off, at the same time he made signs with his hands to stay back. 12-year-old Felipe Guerrero Silva reported seeing other friendlier gnomes wearing red, green, and white clothing. The entity wearing the white clothing seemed to be the friendliest. After a while, the children fled home. …………. And finally, the musical psychic Rosemary Isabel Brown died on this date at the age of 85 in 2001. Her career began at the age of seven when a white-haired spirit appeared to her in her bedroom and told her that she would become a famous musician. Although she tried, she never became proficient in music. Although, what she didn’t know was that she would become a gifted a ‘musical psychic’ whose ‘compositions’ would be written by over twenty dead composers. In 1964, Rosemary, then a middle-aged British widow with two children, was contacted by the spirit of Liszt who apparently brought some friends along. Rosemary began composing music through the spiritual guidance of such legendary composers as Bach, Chopin, Stravinsky, Schubert, Debussy and Liszt, to name but a few. Beethoven even spoke through her and finished his Tenth and Eleventh Symphonies. The critical assessment of Rosemary Brown’s work is mixed and while some agree that the compositions are definitely in the style of the composers to which they are attributed, others argue that such spiritualistic techniques are impossible. Be that as it may, one thing is for certain; Brown found it difficulty if not impossible to play many of the compositions that she wrote down while in a trance.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday November 15th 2009 – 4:00pm An afterthought to my last posting: or why is the Demon a woman? Basically, our 'Angel' can be either male or female [see the Bagh-i-Muattar]. In my case my Angel is 'female' which means the closest thing to me to manifest in Demonic form will be an actual flesh and blood 'female' trying to corrupt me. If I correctly learned and practiced Chastity there would be no problem and she could not affect my Universe.

3:40pm Here is a question - "Why is the lower Ruach so dangerous?" .... Reply: All members working out of the Ruach (the grade of the Lovers) according to Crowley are referred to as Adepts. The lower half of the Ruach is the first area where a magician seeks their Angel more so than any other area on the Tree of Life. Crowley writes - "To the man of earth it matters but little if he suffers nocturnal pollution, or indulge in wantonness; to you that are Adepts it is ruin absolute." ... The Ruach's danger has to do with the Laws of Opposites below the Abyss. To seek something evokes its opposite automatically and this means that to seek something 'far away' implies that its opposite must be 'close by.' This is why magicians, especially working out of Hod, Netzach and Tiphereth who are required to put their certainty in the 'Circle' (Angel) or Number higher up in the Tree of Life as indicated by their magickal degree, must and I repeat must, learn to control the 'Square' (Demon) or Number which indicates where they reside on the Tree. If they fail to understand this duality then their Demon, who lies in waiting close by, can easily 'enflamethe ego' to believe in and do stupid things ... and if the 'ego' is not controlled (within lower Ruach) then it will utterly corrupt Self downward into the most mundane depths of Malkuth where the Demon will actually manifest itself to the magician in the form of a woman to corrupt his 'Chastity' under the guise of Love. Most magickal failures occur in the lower Ruach, that is a fact and virtually all can be traced to an affair of the Heart. In Julius Evola's classic work Metaphysics of Sex (pg.192) it states - "It is said that demons came in the form of women to the Templar Knights who practiced Chastity, and that every Knight had his own Demon." ... Crowley states pretty much the same thing in De Nuptiis Secretis, Deorum cum Hominibus about how there will "appeareth a Demon in the form of a woman to pervert him." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its not about OTO secrets. What do you know that he doesn't? 93 93/93 F." ... Reply : Personally, it sounds like someone in the OTO is trying to steer you off. Go to The Equinox I:4 pg.31 and look at the footnote. It is ok to say "Dah!" ... Even, for the sake of an argument, to say that this story 'was' written by Raffalovich, the footnote 'is' Crowley's and it reveals an OTO Secret. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8:40am To address a question to a friend; Crowley wrote under many alias throughout The Equinox; one such alias was that of George Raffalovich who was not only a real person but an friend of Crowley. The piece in question that you mentioned - My Lady of The Breeches [The Equinox I:4 pg.25] is indeed a masterfully delight revealing the preparation of gluton. It is amazing that more people don't realize this but I think when they're looking to find Crowley's 'secrets' in The Equinox the mere fact that My Lady of The Breeches is written by one George Raffalovich [wink wink] and not 'Crowley' makes it often ignored. Ah, hiding it under everyone's nose!But this piece has always opened up a can of worms because Vol. I: No.4 was Privately published in London 1910; the year that Crowley joined Ordo Templi Orientis as a VIIth Degree. Two years later in 1912 an angry Theodor Reuss confronted Aleister Crowley in his London flat claiming that he had revealed the inner-most secrets of the IXº of the OTO in his recently published book titled The Book of Lies but what is confusing about this version of the story is the fact that Crowley had not yet publish The Book of Lies. It wouldn't be released until 1913, or a year later. Many presume this story is a blind to conceal the truth. The book that Crowley did published in 1912, which according to some was the really book that Ruess was infuriated over, was The Equinox Vol. I No.7 published by Weiland & Company, London. It contained Liber Stellae Rubeae (Liber LXVI - 66) ... but the question remains as to whether or not Crowley was so blown away at learning OTO Secrets back in 1910 that he immediately published them in My Lady of The Breeches under alias as to not to appear to 'violate' any Oaths? It might have taken awhile for this book to reach Ruess but when it did ... BOOM! What do my readers think? What is the real book where Crowley revealed the secrets of OTO?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is based on Gaston Leroux’s novel about a badly disfigured phantom, a masked man, who terrorizes the famous Paris Opera House as well as one particular actress; a famous lyric singer named Carlotta who gives up her role as Marguerite in Faust in order for the unknown Christine Daae, the phantoms protégé to assume the role but what is he secret? …...…… also, on this date in 1930 James Graham Ballard, one of most influential avant garde writers of our time who wrote novels, essays, science fiction and short-stories, was born in Shanghai. He wrote such works as The Drown World (1962), Vermilion Sand (1971), the best-selling novel Empire of the Sun (1984) and A User's Guide to the Millennium (1996). …...…… on this date in 1938 the Puebloan Chieftain ran an article which stated, “Old-timers living along the Arkansas River near Salida have told tales for many years of the fur-bearing trout indigenous to the waters of the Arkansas near there.” The basic story was that the waters of certain lakes and rivers in the area were so cold that a species of ‘trout had evolved’ to grow a thick coat of fur to maintain its body heat. The first book in the Gerard Sorme trilogy was Ritual in the Dark (1960), the second was Man Without a Shadow (1963) and the final one was titled The God of the Labyrinth (1970). …...…… and finally, on November 15 1966 at about 11:30 p.m. two young married couples, Roger and Linda Scarberry and Steve and Mary Mallette, were driving on Route 62 near Point Pleasant, West Virginia. As they drove past the old abandoned power plant building they suddenly saw two large glowing red eyes staring at them from a distance. Roger Scarberry slowed his vehicle to get a closer look, and in the dark they all could make out something that seemed to be about the same size and shape as a man but it didn’t seem to have a head. Its glowing red eyes were on its chest. It also had large wings folded behind its back. Within minutes the creature turned back toward the door of the power plant, walking with a “strange, shuffling gait,” and Scarberry took this as his cue to floor his car but he soon discovered that the creature was following him and keeping up, even though he was doing almost 100 mph. They later described the creature as flying without flapping its wings, while emitting a screeching sound like “a big mouse.” At the Point Pleasant city limits, the creature turned away and disappeared. Saturday November 14th 2009 – 9:00am To Mr. 'I want to remain Anonymous' ... yes, we talked alot about Chastity in the past on this blog but it was primarily 'theory' as in the case of VIIth Degree OTO, it was not practice. But consider this that was written by Paul to the Romans:

2:08am Yes, I woke up in the middle of the night; mostly in pain; washed down more Tylenol with a beer. Anyway, while I'm up I thought I'd post my section for the history buffs: Aleister Crowley evoked the 30th Aethyr of John Dee’s Enochian system in Mexico on this date of November 14th in 1900 and later wrote, “What I saw was not beyond my experience, but what I heard was unintelligible to me as Blake to a Baptist.” ……. And on November 14, 1992 a six-inch high blue and white porcelain statue of the Virgin Mary in Santiago, Chile began weeping tears of blood; mainly when children were around. The statue belonged to Olga Rodriguez, a housewife from the working class La Cisterna district in the south of Santiago. Friday November 13th 2009 – 7:35pm I just got back from Manny's. It was an enjoyable evening at the Bar. I want to say up front; the photos that Ben took of me drawing a spoon full of healthy green salad to my mouth were candidly staged. If they circle around, or you see them, don't believe them. I actually had a juicy rare cheeseburger with a side order of salty fries. I don't want to spoil the image. ... Anyway, the doctors said it might take at least a day for the meds that they gave me to wear off and for me to start feeling any pain. I agree. I'm feeling lots of pain, soreness and aches now; I just took a few Tylenol and will now sit on the heating pad for awhile. Good night.

7:30am I'm home, got back really late last night and I survived, I think ... my heart is fine, the brain is another story ... and today is FRIDAY the 13th! Hummmmm? ... Anyway, tonight's Open House is at Manny's at 6:30pm; but if we are not there, check my apartment.Yesterday's diary entry reads:9:00am Ben Hance picked me up and off we went to Summit Medical Center (Hospital) in Oakland; which is right off Telegraph Avenue. Parking was Hell, which I hoped at the time wasn't setting the mood for the day.Once in the Hospital I went to register; which was easy. I just said I’m here and they checked my name off and then they told me where to go. 9:30am I entered the Post Surgery Room, which prepares me for surgery. [Ben said I looked cute in the gown] When the nurses found out who my doctor was they all laughed. I was told that he is notorious for getting his patients at the hospital really, really early. When I asked how early? The head nurse told me that I was scheduled for surgery at one o’clock. Aughhh! One o’clock!!!! I have over a three hour wait? After about an hour, I told Ben to go home. No need for him to wait. I’ll call him later. I slept. Later, the nurse informed me that my doctor called, “He’s running late.” ... Great. 2:20pm They finally wheeled my bed to the area where they would be performing the Cardiac Catheterizatio test. Preparation here took about a half an hour. Besides hooking me up to all kind of gadgets, the artery that they are going to be cutting into, to insert the tube, is a main one on my right side. I thought it was going to be my inside leg but no, it is in my groin area which meant the nurse had to shave me so that the tape holding everything in place won’t ripe my public hair out after surgery. I told her to take just a little off the top but she said, and I quote, “You’ll have cute a little Mohawk when I’m finished.” Nice. 3:05pm My doctor finally arrived! The actual test itself would show the insides of my coronary arteries to see where and if I have blockage. The procedure started with my doctor cutting into the artery and inserting a tube all the way up into the heart in order to pump it full of dye so that they can watch it on a big screen; which I might add was very painless. I felt some initial pressure but I didn’t feel the tube being pushed through the artery. Luckily, I could see most of the procedure and it was amusing watching my heart beat on the big screen. Unfortunately, no popcorn. In the end, the test went extremely well. Mr doctor informed me that my heart actually looks great; I have no blocked arteries at all in this area! Fantastic ... and knowing my family’s track record of most of its male members dropping dead before fifty of heart attacks, along with my abusive life style, I am amused that I am doing so well. ... But this opened up a whole other can of worms: it doesn’t explain what is causing the chest pain, left side numbness; the fainting, dizziness, out-of-breath, fatigue and numerous other problems that I’m having. ... He says it might be due to the stroke that I had back in October 2006 but he’s not sure. It could also be a blocked artery in an area they didn’t explore. So, what does this tell me? Today they checked out my heart. This is fine. The blockage, if there is one, is not in this area. Ouch.And then, not to allow me to go away happy with a cute little Mohawk haircut, I was informed that since they cut into a main artery it means that if the ‘wound’ opens up after surgery, since I was given no stitches, only a band-Aid (?) I could bleed to death rather quickly. Great. This meant that I had to be watched for awhile and so they wheeled me back to the ‘rest area’ where I had to remain for at least six hours! SIX HOURS! I had to remain on my back, I couldn’t move my legs, nor cross them and I had to remain completely flat and motionless. And, with all the monitors they hooked up to both arms and fingers, it wasn’t easy to move these either. Still, when they brought me a turkey sandwich and juice, having not eaten since yesterday around seven, I managed to eat it and it tasted good.It was a long night. TV sucked. By nine I was grumpy, I was snipping at everyone, by nine-fifteen I was downright getting hostile and luckily around nine-thirty Ben arrived which made me feel better; it meant I was hopefully going home soon. How quickly a Cancer's Moon changes.10:00pm After examining the wound and giving it a thumbs up, I was finally released ... and Ben drove me home. The first thing I did was open a beer. Its very cathartic writing about all this ... Thursday November 12th 2009 – Today I am scheduled to go into Summit Medical Center (Hospital) in Oakland at 10:00am for a Cardiac Catheterization test and the outcome will determine the nature of the heart surgery that I'll be having directly afterwards. - Oh boy! Its going to be a fun day. - And, believe it or not, if they decide to give me a procedure known as Angioplasty it will allow me to be sent home later this afternoon to recover in my own bed! Right now they are predicting that I'll not be needing an over-night stay. ... So, what does this mean if I'm sent home today to recover? Well, for starters, if the surgery is successful then tomorrow's Friday night OPEN HOUSE, which is normally held at my apartment, will most likely be held at the bar (Manny’s) on Telegraph Avenue so we can celebrate me living through heart surgery. Hummmm, yummy; pitchers of beer and greasy dripping hamburgers, with salty fries! Can't wait. Yea! ... So I'll post later today, or tomorrow morning if we’re all meeting at Manny’s or, due to health related complications, I'll have to cancel the Open House altogether. ... But, if there is no posting on the blog by tomorrow afternoon ... :(

Tuesday November 10th 2009 – 8:20pm Now that I've had a nice long nap, and a few beers, let me tell you about today's visit to Highland Hospital.
Well, the first test that I had to endure was Angiowaitinroomtormentus. This was the longest, most difficult test of the day. Its sole purpose was to stresss me the fuck out by having me wait in a tiny room packed with non-speaking English foreigners for hours until they finally got around to me.The next test was an Echocardiography; this test uses sound waves to create a moving picture of my heart. It supposedly provides information about the size and shape of my heart and how well its chambers and valves are working. The test also can identify areas of poor blood flow to the heart, areas of heart muscle that aren't contracting normally, and previous injury to the heart muscle caused by poor blood flow. I did much better with this test than the last time I took it back in 2007. I guess all the meds that I've been taking are working. After this test I was giving an Electrocardiogram; this is a simple test that detects and records the electrical activity of my heart. It supposedly shows how fast my heart was beating and whether it has a regular rhythm. It also shows the strength and timing of electrical signals as they pass through each part of my heart. After this test I was taken to another room where I was given a Stress Test; this is where I was put on a tread mill; which in theory the exercise was to make my heart work hard and beat fast while heart tests are performed. I flunked miserably. ... and then, to top the day off; I had to go to another part of the hospital and give blood and other bodily fluids for testing.All in all, today I did far better than I did the last time and with far more intricate testing the doctors have determined that I most likely did not have a heart attack back in October of 2006 but rather a stroke; the difference being that one is blockage in the heart and the other in the brain. .... and my heart actually looks good. Go figure? It's my brain! ... And here I was worried! On this Thursday I go into Summit Medical Center (Hospital) in Oakland at 10:00am for a Cardiac Catheterizatio (test) which uses dye and special x rays to show the insides of my coronary arteries to see where and if I have blockage ... and depending upon the outcome it will determine the nature of the surgery that I'll be having later on the same day. Since its not looking like my heart I may require simple Angioplasty or a 'stent procedure' ... which is where a wire metal mesh tube is used to prop open an artery. The stent is collapsed to a small diameter and put over a balloon catheter. It's then moved into the area of the blockage. When the balloon is inflated, the stent expands, locks in place and forms a scaffold and it holds the artery open. ... If I'm really, really lucky, the dye test could determine that Angioplasty is not necessary and with all the new types of brain meds available, I might be able to take a pill daily. Ah, I can only hope.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2:25pm UPDATE: I just now got home from the hospital. Ben drove me there this morning and we arrived around 9:30am for what the doctor's said was a 'twenty minutes or so' procedure ... needless to say, there were complications. Can everyone scream - "Aughhhhhhhh!" ... I won't go into all the gruesome details, it wasn't pretty but I survived. Monday November 9th 2009 – 4:30pm I just got home from the hospital a little while ago. Lots of emails waiting for me; thanks for all the kind well wishings ... Ok folks, the good news first - I can drink beer tonight. The bad news is that on a scale of one to ten, with ten being a clean bill of health, I got a minus four. Not good. I also got a gloomy prognosis for living a long healthy life beyond my next birthday if I don’t do something really, really soon. Anyway, I go in for more tests tomorrow and on Thursday, I'll have the old dye tests to see where and how bad my heart and arteries are blocked and, on the same day, I’ll have [some kind of] surgery depending on the test results. ... I'm not sure about Friday's Open House right now.

Today I go back into Highland Hospital for more tests on my little old ticker. It has been awhile, at least three years, since I’ve had the heart checked out. I know that I haven’t been doing as well of late as I’d like; especially compared to last year and even the year before ... but I also knew years ago that my heart wasn't miraculously going to get better on its own. It is slowly deteriorating and the best that I could do is slow down the process by eating healthy food, having no coffee or energy drinks and also by cutting down on my drinking of alcohol. Admittedly, I think I failed at a few of these requirements. But, if I remember correctly, I did have a salad a few months back. I think around June. ... Sunday November 8th 2009 – 6:30pm On my blog on October 16th at 1:55pm I reviewed the movie Azumi which I had added onto my 'Favorite Movie' review page. The title character in this movie is a young girl who is brought up as part of a team of ten assassins or chosen warriors who are given the task of killing three warlords that threaten Feudal Japan. This was just Part One of two Movies. ... I have now added my review to the conclusion or Azumi 2 titled 'Death or Love' on the bottom of my movie page. ... Toward the end of this movie when Azumi and Nagara are seeking their final target, a group of government Ninja also accompany them, among them is a young Ninja girl named Kozue who is played by Chiaki Kuriyama. If you don’t know who this actress is, she played GoGo Yubari; a severely disturbed 17-year-old schoolgirl who delights in killing for fun, in the now infamous Kill Bill movie. Anyway, the fight scene with Kozue and Azumi is a crowd pleaser! ... Like the first movie, this movie is well filmed, with a good plot and it kept me greatly entertained as young Asian girls wearing skimpy skirts, run and jump around wielding big Samurai swords ... what else do you need in a movie?

7:06am On Friday my 7:00am posting mentioned – “In astrology we are taught that when a person is having difficulties manifesting their Sun sign there is a strong tendency to shift the most negative qualities of its opposite sign into the forefront of their personality.” ... There are three critical factors in every birth chart which determine our over-all incarnation. They are our Sun Sign, our Moon Sign and our Rising Sign. These three points each refer to one of the Moirae or Fates mentioned in Plato’s The Myth of Er ; Lachesis (ruling our Sun Sign), Klotho (our Moon) and Atropos (our Rising Sign). He has both his Sun and his Lot of Fortune in the 9th House in Virgo just a few degrees apart. This House rules Sagittarius whose ruling planet is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the Qabalistic sphere of Chesed-7 on the edge of the Abyss and this is also the house of remote exploration which in a magickal sense could easily imply his unconscious drive to take the Oath of the Abyss. But, if not done correctly his phantoms (Choronzon) are truly Piscean (opposite sign from Virgo). If we were to look at the 10th House as Binah-Saturn (Capricorn) and its cusp as the 'Abyss', as many astrologers consider it to be in our psyche, then the greater tragedy is that this Practicus' South Node is just a few degrees inside the 10th House almost directly on the cusp and also in Virgo. ... Our 10th House is our fame, our notoriety and basically the position that we hold in the public's eye, or in our parent's. ... So what is the image that we are getting from this Practicus?His chart clearly implies that until his Sun & PoF faces its Karma then a crossing of the Abyss is all but impossible and will remain fleeting. His South Node is the number one 'obstacle' smack on the 10th House cusp that must be faced and basically the South Node is the ‘affect’ that he is experiencing due to his own actions. In brief; the tail of the Dragon represents undesirable accumulated things which can thwart the head from moving forward by slowing the over-all body down. Superior, his friends and lineage due to his damn pride and ego fueled by an overbearing Piscean negativity it'll be all but impossible for him to succeed. Anyway, his fate reminds me of the TV show 'My Name is Earl' ...but I doubt the Practicus will ever be able to rectify his folly because he is incapable of mending fences. In fact, he believes that it is I who should apologize to him! ... What did I do? ... But until he addresses what he has done to me, his immediate Superior, it'll be as drops of blood that he is incapable of putting into Babalon's Chalice. Remember, if so much as a single drop of Blood is withheld from her Cup it is impossible to enter into the City of the Pyramids ... and even if he comes out three or four years from now and proclaims himself having successfully crossed the Abyss, everyone will already have predetermined his public image ... and I wonder what that image will be? It'll dog him the rest of his life unless he addresses it now. Images can be easily changed but in magick, Karma is a bitch if left unchecked. 6:00am Last night my son & I watched the new sci-fi channel movie version of The Amityville Horror. It was not as good as the original but it had its moments. All the murders and craziness took place at 3:15am in the movie. And speaking of exactly 3:15am; just this morning our neighboring city of El Cerito had a tiny earthquake; just a 1.2 magnitude at that exact moment in time ... Yesterday I went to the movies with my girlfriend and saw the film "The Fourth Kind" - It is a hybrid of THE BLAIR WITCH and THE EXORCIST - kind of a cheap " rip off " really - Its about Alien abduction - not unlike COMMUNION using Hypnosis as the vehicle by which not only are the memories resurfaced but contact is made - not unlike a sort of scrying session of sorts - or LAM SEARCH. ... So another film about ALIENS coming in contact with humans surfaces in the collective mass media - imprinting the minds of teenagers - who should all be ripe with curiosities of the Western Mysteries. He was the man who persuaded A.E.Waite to rejoin the order stating that he “... was missing experiences he would value and of which he could not have known when he resigned.” …....…… and on November 7, 1903 the official Constitution under A. E. Waite, W. A. Ayton and M. W. Blackden of the Independent & Rectified Order R.R. et A.C. along with its new outer order of the Morgen Rothe (German for ‘Golden Dawn’) are signed. In their first year this Golden Dawn schism grew from 14 to 22 inner order members and many of them survived for ten years or so together. I see this 'judgmental behavior' in other Pisces whose fantasy mode turns too dark when they become angered or obsessed over issues. Once identified, this behavior can easily be controlled simply by consciously trying to return to a 'positive' Solar Piscean mode. ... I replied - "Funny, that is what Ben said! :) ." [Ben being another Virgo.] ... Anyway, the earlier post was actually in reply to a friend whose wife is a Virgo. But it does relate to 'All' Virgos. Furthermore, every sign should study its opposite. As another example: people often wonder when the normally good natured Scorpio goes bad why it 'stings itself to death.' ... This is because it's opposite sign is Taurus. And because this sign is ‘fixed’ to the point of utter stubbornness, when its energy manifests through the Scorpio Sun it becomes driven by Martian energy that will force the Scorpio, which is also a Fixed Sign, to sting itself to death rather than acknowledge a wrong doing. Basically, when the Taurus personality manifests through a Scorpio in a negative fashion, whether the Scorpio is truly right or wrong, it doesn't matter. In 'their' mind they 'are' right! :) Remember - "stubbornness fuels the Scorpio's negativity." 7:00am To address an astrological question from a Virgo ... and since we have so many Virgos in our Lineage, they might find it amusing too.Anyway, in astrology we are taught that no single aspect in our birth chart works alone. There is always a pull from another area in our chart as if to imply a careful Balance; a Yin and Yang. This implies that when a person is having difficulties manifesting their Sun sign there is a strong tendency to shift the most negative qualities of its opposite sign into the forefront of their personality. As an example: if the positive nature of a Sun in Virgo is impeded, which naturally allows individuals to seek competency in everything they do, it becomes fueled by the most negative of Piscean qualities. Normally a Virgo is ruled by intellectual Mercurian thoughts which enables this sign to have the ability to analyze things properly. If its opposite sign assumes a more active role in a Virgo’s personality then the Pisces’ quality, which normally has a very active fantasy life, shifts the normal Virgo intellectual mode into a very dark, brooding analyzation of date and often, as only a Pisces can, the Virgo then creates phantoms to prove itself right ... and this becomes the Virgo’s own worse nightmare. I quote - "A Virgo must never be allowed to deal with personal issues alone. It must face these as a Virgo, not a Pisces otherwise this sign is notorious for losing friends and family members over things whereby it is usually wrong." Ouch.Remember, a sign like Virgo is naturally an open and fun loving sign but if the person broods, goes within their head and creates fantasies they'll often deliberately isolate themselves through the Piscean hurt mode which is merely a defensive mechanism to defend a Virgo Sun. 6:50am For the history buffs: On this date in 1957 in Merom, Indiana, Rene Gilham, 33, saw a brightly luminous UFO hovering overhead which he estimated its size as 40 feet in diameter, and its altitude as 1000 feet. The next day, after starring up at the UFO, Gilham's face began to itch and redden and that night the "sunburn" was so painful that he was forced to go to the doctors. The physician, Dr. Joseph Drake, found that Gilham's condition was not a rash such as might be caused by poison ivy or an allergy but a real burn, "similar to the burns that are inflicted on the face and eyes when working near an arc welder without a face mask". …..…… and on November 6th 2000 the American science fiction writer L. Sprague de Camp died in Plano, Texas. He was born on November 27th 1907 in New York. In a writing career spanning fifty years he wrote over one hundred books, including both novels and notable works of nonfiction, such as biographies of other important fantasy authors like H. P. I've just read it, I didn't find the writing in the story catching my attention as much as in the Da Vinci code or Angels and Demons. The main character Robert Landgon seemed to behave differently than in the previous works. However the books presents several concepts that I found interested in a popular readership work of fiction. The main topic is Apotheosis. The story in general will serve expose the general population to a broader mindset of mystical interpretations in a deistic fashion. There are several concepts that are some what fuzzy but it might make some people more curious. One thing it does present is that all religions have a kernel of the truth and the real path is buried in all major religions works (Bible, Quran, Zohar, etc) and that this path is open to everyone. Another concept the book presents is that thoughts can have an actual impact on the physical world.Also Aleister Crowley is mentioned as having been studied by the main antagonist of the book. The below quote is narrated from the antagonists point of view and italics are used in Brown's book to indicate the characters thoughts.Page 287."Then he discovered the writings of Aleister Crowley -- a visionary mystic from the early 1900s -- whom the church had deemed "the most evil man who ever lived." Great minds are always feared by lesser minds. Andros ;earned about the power of ritual and incantation. He learned that sacred words, if properly spoken, functioned like keys that opened gateways to other worlds. There is a shadow universe beyond this one....a world from which I can draw power. And although Andros longed to harness that power, he knew there were rules and tasks to be completed beforehand. Become something holy, Crowley wrote. Make yourself Sacred...."
I know Crowley had been called the "The wickedest man in the world" but I have not heard of him being called "the most evil man who ever lived". 6:30am For the history buffs: Captain John Cleves Symmes was born on this date in Sussex County, New Jersey in 1779. He was a unique philosopher who originated the “Symmes Theory of Concentric Spheres and Polar Voids” which stated that the earth was hollow, habitable and is composed of five hollow, concentric spheres, with space between each, and habitable upon both convex and concave surfaces. At the North Pole, he supposed there was an opening four thousand miles in diameter; and at the South, six thousand miles. In 1823 Symmes petitioned Congress to send an exploring expedition to test his theory and he actually got twenty-five affirmative votes. Symmes’ theory spawned a number of books including novels. The first was Symzonia (1820) by Captain Adam Seaborn. Edgar Allen Poe’s two stories, MS Found in a Bottle (1833) and Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym, both owe something to Symmes. The theory had its loyal adherents right up until William Peary’s reported discovery of the North Pole. ………. And on November 5, 1920 Ninette Fraux Shumway, the Scarlet Woman whose name was ‘Beauty’ was banished from the Abbey of Thelema as an ‘intruding demon’ in the eighth month of her pregnancy. The Beast instructed her to maintain her diary, have her baby at the primitive Cefalu hospital and then submit the diary for his judgment before returning, so that he might “reconsider things.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess this sends a clear message; Obama you suck! ..... but even more important, what is with this award winning celebrity photographer A.J. Sokalner who died shortly after taking a picture of Lady Gaga as she stepped onto the red carpet Monday night sporting a widow-esque black veil? She has a strange affect on men, no? Have you ever seen any of her videos? ...... and speaking of odd News; it seems a young woman bought a bag of romaine lettuce from a Kroger supermarket in Sterling Heights, Mich. last Friday and noticed a live tree frog in it! She stated - "I didn't know what I was seeing but sure enough, I looked a little closer and there was a small light green tree frog, happy as can be, crawling around, living life in the bag of lettuce." She released it in her backyard. ... Ah, the News, it's never dull, always amusing.

5:55am For the history buffs: In 1891 a young Englishman named Howard Carter arrived in Egypt convinced that there was at least one undiscovered tomb, that of the almost unknown King named Tutankhamen. Carter found a backer for his quest in the wealthy Lord Carnarvon. On November 4, 1922 Carter’s workmen discovered a step cut into the rock that had been hidden by debris left over from the building of the tomb of Ramesses IV and digging further they discovered stairs that lead to an ancient doorway that appeared to be still sealed. On the doorway was the name Tutankhamen. That evening, when Carter arrived home, his servant, wide eyed with fear, met him at the door. In his hand was a few yellow feathers. He proceeded to tell Carter that his pet canary had been killed by a cobra. Carter, looking at the feathers, simply asked if the snake was out of the house but his servant replied by grabbing his sleeve and saying, “The pharaoh’s serpent ate the bird because it led us to the hidden tomb! You must not disturb the tomb!” After the tomb was opened, a few months later, Lord Carnarvon, 57, was taken ill and rushed to Cairo. He died a few days later. The exact cause of death has never been determined but it seemed to be from an infection started by an insect bite. Legend has it that when he died there was a power failure and all the lights throughout Cairo went out and, at the same moment back on his private estate back in England, his favorite dog howled and dropped dead. Even more strange, when the mummy of Tutankhamen was finally unwrapped in 1925, it was found to have a wound on the left cheek. A wound which was in the same exact position as the insect bite on Carnarvon that lead to his death. All in all, by 1935 twenty-one people who were connected, or indirectly connected, with the discovery of the Tomb had all died of unnatural causes. The press followed each death carefully; attributing them to the “Mummy’s Curse.” Still, Howard Carter, who had actually discovered the tomb, lived to a reasonably old age of 66 before dying of entirely natural causes.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6:30am For the history buffs: Ignatius Donnelly was born in Philadelphia on this date in 1831. He studied law, was admitted to the bar, and practiced briefly in Philadelphia until he went to Minnesota in 1857. Here, Donnelly was elected Lieutenant Governor in 1859, and again in 1861. He was later elected to Congress as a Republican, serving from December 7, 1863, till March 3, 1869. Besides doing journalistic work he has written an Essay on the Sonnets of Shakespeare and, for which he is most known, a book titled Atlantis, the Antediluvian World (1882), in which he attempts to demonstrate that there once existed in the Atlantic Ocean, opposite the straits of Gibraltar, a large island, known to the ancients as Atlantis. His next book titled Ragnarok (1883) he tried to prove that the deposits of clay, gravel, and decomposed rocks, characteristic of the drift age, were the result of contact between the earth and a comet. Donnelly died in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 1, 1901 and was buried in Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota. …...….. and Franklin Jones was born on this date in 1939. He would become a follower for a while of Swami Mukananda, who gave him the name ‘Dhyanananda’ which means “he whose bliss comes through meditation.” Muktananda authorized him to teach then, but Da did not do so because he felt that his enlightenment was incomplete. Da’s enlightenment took place in the Vedanta Society temple in Los Angeles in September 1970. It was only several years later that he changed his name to Bubba Free John and then to Da Free John. He died in 2003. …...….. and finally, on November 3, 1957 Dr. Wilhelm Reich died in prison at Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Many of his experiments were designed to ascertain whether sexual excitement was associated with an increase of bio-electric charges in the genitals & erogenous zones. He believed this to be true.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6:55am For the history buffs: ‘Buck’ Whaley, of the Hellfire Club, died on this date in 1800. His father was another notorious member whose antic, after performing a Black Mass at Mountpelier House, cost the building to be burned down, killing many a member who was too drunk after the evening’s revelries to escape. It was said that local people watched the blazing pyre convinced that God had taken revenge. Whaley’s son, Thomas ‘Buck’ Whaley was to become, in his short life, far more famous and flamboyant than his father. He rallied the Hell-Fire club from the low ebb to which it had sunk after the fire by openly declaring his intention of ‘defying God and man in nightly revels.’ Black Masses and homosexual orgies were the principal features of his nightly debaucheries. However, years later, repentance and remorse began to enter into his mind and so he resolved to seek absolution for his sins. It is said that while kneeling in the darkened nave in St Audoen’s Church he had a vision of the Devil creeping down the aisle towards him. Seized with terror, Whaley ran from the church and fled Ireland forever. He lived a few more years but finally died at the age of 34 of sclerosis of the liver. In his memoirs, a repentant ‘Buck’ Whaley wrote that he felt “no trifling sensation from the prospect that this simple narrative may persuade the young and inexperienced, if the language of truth has the power of persuasion, that a life of dissipation can produce no enjoyment, and that tumultuous pleasures afford no real happiness.” …...….. also, on November 2, 1910 “... amid choking clouds of incense, varied by barbaric dances, sensational interludes of melodrama, blasphemy and erotic suggestion” the Rite of Mars of Eleusis is performed at Caxton Hall by Aleister Crowley & Co. …...….. and one of my favorite entries in Aleister Crowley’s unpublished diaries found is on November 2, 1931. It simply states “... He gave us lots of bad cognac. We went crazy. Instantly. We got home I got down on S.W. She pissed gallons -- we tore off our clothes & fucked & fucked & fucked. She tore my lips & my tongue - the blood streamed all over her face. We fucked. And suddenly she got a jealous fit about 3 cheap whores at Brunnigs & I strangled her …” Isn’t love grand? 9:45am For the history buffs: William John Warner was born on this date in Dublin, Ireland in 1866. The world knows him as Cheiro. He also went by the name Count Louis Hamon, claiming a noble ancestry that may or may not have been accurate. He is most likely the world’s greatest palmist. Cheiro was also a friend of the magician Aleister Crowley and even joined his AA in 1913, the same day as Nina Hamnett and Gwedoline Otter. Cheiro died on October 8, 1936, in Hollywood, CA, at the age of 69. ............. and visitors to the beach at Margate, South Africa on this date in 1922, were treated to an amazing spectacle happening just off shore on this date. Two whales were clearly observed by many people seemingly engaged in battle with a bizarre sea monster with snowy-white fur and a huge elephantine trunk. As the battle progressed the monster seemed to weaken and three hours into the battle it disappeared. Then, during the evening, its lifeless body was washed ashore and proved to be truly colossal, measuring just over 47 feet in length, and including a 10 foot long tail. Apart from it’s luxuriant 8-inch long fur, the most remarkable feature about this creature was that it did not possess a distinct head but had a trunk-like appendage about 5 feet long, that had been visible during its fatal encounter with the whales. This creature was dubbed “Trunko.” Sadly, even though the creature’s corpse spent ten days on the Margate beach not one scientist came by to see it, or give it the time of day. Finally the sea reclaimed Trunko’s body------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
