Sunday December 20th 2009 – 3:55pm And Ben writes – “Jerry, 93 Busy morning! It seems to me that people are missing that Qabalistic thought can be both symbolic/metaphorical and concrete simultaneously, and the nuances contained within the symbols used. The Chastity discussion would be a perfect example of this, but this mis-Understanding is indicative of a manifestation of the Kundry. On the most base level a woman is a convenient Kundry for a man, but it is not true that Woman equals Kundry. The woman who becomes that Kundry has failed in expressing her own True Will as well. Anyway, here is the Achad quote that we discussed this morning: "Kundry - Woman - capable alike of raising man to the heights or dragging him to the very depths, is the best instrument to his [Klingsor's, c.f. Wagner's Parzifal] hand. She - the Animal Soul of the World - while directed by the lower will or intellect - has within her not alone the possibilities of redemption, but of taking her rightful place upon the Throne of the Mother if brought to Understand the Higher Will and Wisom of the Father of All. ... On the other hand if under the influence of the lower will she is allowed to seduce man from his aspiration, so that he fails to discover his True Will (which is one with Destiny and the Will of God and which alone can direct him in his proper course) she ruins him and at the same time loses her own chance of redemption. He is then doomed to wander in paths of illusion having no comprehension of the true Purpose of his Being or hers." (Fr. Achad, The Chalice of Ecstasy Parzifal, pp. 24-25.)
Reply: Thanks Ben, you proved my point ... most women are bitches.

10:55am I received this email from Jay. He writes - “93 Jerry, Interesting discussion on the blog this morning. I think it's really bringing out the issue of understanding our libidos as rooted in Yesod and male/female dynamics in general. I agree with you that these women who take issue with how you've been conducting your blog (that is, with pictures of nude women) have never made any effort to understand the male libido -- not that most men make an effort to understand the female libido, but I think that's just my point! I think it's easy for women to just chalk men up as dogs (which we are). But as you said, the visual stimulation of a beautiful/nude woman has a very powerful affect on us. I think for the magician in particular it can function like a battery; if we're directing that sexual energy properly and letting the kundalini rise, then pornography can literally become energy to draw upon. This is why us Thelemic men here in Berkeley like to hang out on Telegraph and enjoy the young and well-attired sights. Love, Jay 93 93/93."

8:30am NEWS: Yesterday, residents here in a Nipomo, California neighborhood became up in arms over a Christmas display. They say the display is upsetting their children and they want the homeowner to remove it. The display shows Jesus holding a shotgun over Santa, depicted dead on the ground, with x's over his eyes. It also shows Rudolph run over by a pick up truck. "It's an expression of my repressed creativity," says Ron Lake, the creator. Just outside of the chain link fence that separates the display from one of the town's main roads is a school bus stop. You can Google search this info to see actual photos.

8:27am And Dave from Florida writes - "93 Jerry, Love the daily Ho Ho Ho... I'd not let you sit alone on Christmas eve were I around! You bet your boots there'd be some partying going on. Take care my friend. 93 93/93 Dave"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8:22am I replied to the 8:15am posting - "You wrote – “I agree, but I want to stress that we cannot deny that we seek the Wand. It is in our wiring.” .... Reply: Yes, the Wand (Phallus) is the Magickal Weapon of the sphere of Netzach (Venus) wherein the woman naturally functions in the lower Ruach. The weapon is an inward spiritual reminded of the female Quest toward the ‘positive’ but it also depicts the quest when your focus becomes directed toward a lowest common denominator on Malkuth, or Earth; either for a penis or some other ‘positive-oriented’ substitute. I know that you are far from this grade or ordeal but I’d recommend reading Eshelman’s The Mystical & Magical System of the AA the section detailing the Philosophus grade in Netzach; on pgs. 103-110. You may glimmer tidbits from this which may be helpful with this discussion on 'The Wand' and even in regards to Bhakti yoga.
Anyway, the opposite is true for the man. The Cup (Vagina) is the Magickal Weapon of the sphere of Hod (Mercury) where the man naturally functions. ... Hence, both sexes study and quest for their opposite as depicted by the Weapons of each sphere; Hod & Netzach.
And yes, “Energy” or food for our daimon is libido driven. How to arouse and channel this sexual energy is always difficult for the man but easily worked for the woman ... remember; the man’s Left-Hand Pillar quickly ‘descends’ the Energy toward Malkuth when he is aroused, your energy being rooted in the Right Hand Pillar natural ascends the Tree. Is one better than the other? No, we both have different function. We tend to think what the opposite sex has is always better than ours but in truth, humans always think that the grass is greener somewhere else. If people spent less time bitching about the opposite sex and spent more time on ‘Knowing Thyself’, we all would be far better off.
Always remember the Law – As Above, So Below. ... You are ‘feminine’ or negative energy manifested in quest of its opposite (positive). On the lowest physical level you seek a man (positive) as if unconsciously knowing that he is nothing more than the manifestation of that which lies within yourself. The same is true for a man who seeks a woman. Sadly, and often after numerous physical relationships, both sexes rarely find a mate to which they hunger nor do they realize that the true quest of an opposite lies within; all else is something that fades away with time. Its an Illusion.
Well put when you state that “Abstinence [does] not lend well to raising our libidos much...we just must be careful not to mistake love for Love! My two cents. Jerry, comments here (or anywhere)?” .... I could not have said it better. Still, we must never fall sway to the old OTO adage of “Hey little girl wannabe the Priestess” mentality. Many old OTO branches try to get the girl to become a Priestess so that they can ogle her nude body or sleep with her; its an unconscious male thing. They try to convince her that to be a Thelemite means avoid abstinence at all costs and sleep with everybody. This is really anti-Thelemic. It second guesses a woman’s True Will. For instance; how do they know that some particular woman didn’t incarnate to experience A-sexuality? By forcing her into their proclivities it would be a violation of her Will. Sexual frivolity is a fine edge on a sword that only a magician can truly define for themselves. This is why I get so upset at woman who write to me trying to ‘define’ what is sexually proper; it presumes to know my True Will, or reason for incarnating.
The bottom line, yes, you should not deny yourselves Love on this plane ... you are wired to receive it but on the flip side; the danger of love is when you become so focused on your mate that you Earth yourself out. This world is your playground but as the Greeks always knew, your body is a tomb that easily ensnares your Soul.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8:15am And from yet another of our female students I received this gem - "I started writing you back about Chastity...Chastity in the Christian sense of the word is to abstain from sex. Chastity in a Thelemic sense is far more subtle and complex. I have been experiencing many epiphanies lately regarding the female libido. It is fueled by Love (emotion...Netzach) This is the Daemon, Kundalini and the divine energy to rise upon the planes...this is the energy that flows through every chakra. it is not to be ignored and turned off, but utilized and focused within. What method do women generally have to accomplish this task? Love and Devotion are but fabulous ways...you write: "the practice is to see the HGA as the beloved breaking the instinctual notion to seek this notion of a soulmate in other incarnates which will surely manifest a daemon as the shadow of our HGA as we draw the angel closer and can be led astray. I understand this..."
I agree, but I want to stress that we cannot deny that we seek the Wand. It is in our wiring. This 'need' or our 'wiring' or 'perspective' manifests itself upon Malkuth (Malkuth is also most simply our bodies). I feel that our folly (our experiences on Malkuth...) can be offered up as food for the Gods! Energy for our Angel. I don't think we should deny ourselves love on this plane...we are wired to receive it. We must not reject that energy but instead focus that energy toward our Daemon. Abstinence not lend well to raising our libidos much...we just must be careful not to mistake love for Love! My two cents. Jerry, comments here (or anywhere)?
We all need to be challenged and the challenge is but our lives. The challenge is to to know ourselves, so we can utilize the fuel that drives us toward our Angels. We seek Knowledge and Conversation. The challenge is to communicate (but another form of the manifestation that you texted me about...) to work and grow together in the form of our conversations to that end (to understand ourselves). You and I have barely taken step one in that direction, which is why I have enjoyed this email you've sent in particular. Gives much much greater insight into your thoughts, and I hope mine has given you a few insights as well. It lends to conversation on pertinent topics in both of our lives. Positive, I find...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8:10am In regards to Friday's posting about 'women', the controversy continues.... I received a rather amusing emai from a female student from far up Northl, part of which I replied - "Ouch, you women are a fun lot, if not annoying."
You wrote – “From a female's perspective it is either confusing, unfair and contradictory, or just plain humorous to hear it said that the kundry always appears before the aspirant in the form of a woman offering true love or sex etc.”
Reply : Lighten up; women’s lib sometimes makes you guys too testy too quickly. ... Here is the simple facts regarding the Yin (-) and Yang (+). Two positively charged bodies will always experience a mutual repulsion, as do two negatively charged bodies. However, a positively charged body and a negatively charged body experience an attractive force. With that in mind, this world is considered ‘positive’ in nature while the very next realm within is considered ‘negative.’ It’s Balanced.
This Law is true for us as well. For instance: a man is positive manifested with a negative charge within, while the woman is negative manifested with a positive charge within (hence in Tantra all true Power comes through the women). This dynamics is what makes us ‘quest’ for the opposite sex.
Now; when the man (+) seeks his within (-) he starts to move vertically or up the Tree. But according to the Qabalah we are forbidden to pick the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. So what are the Gods to do? Well, for starters, to ‘right this wrong’ a man is sent a ‘negative’ on Earth to distract him from his inward quest of the ‘negative’ within. Hence the reason for the Kundry always to be a women ... and man, being a stupid lot, will sell his Soul for a piece of ass; especially if it’s cute.
The real issue for you is not that a Kundry is always a woman, the proper question to have asked is what do woman attract? It is no secret that the majority of all Crowley’s magick speaks to the man, not the woman. He simply ignores many magickal issues that are woman related.
The bottom line; the Kundry is ‘merely’ a negatively charged ‘object’ that is positioned on Malkuth to distract us from the inward quest of the ‘negative’ realm in general. For men, it becomes an actual woman ... for a woman, the Tantra teaches us that the danger is that you’ll actually ‘become’ the Kundry. This will inevitably mean that you’ll become your own worst enemy as all Power from within shuts down as you focus toward ‘earthly’ (positive) issues. Woman too, just the like man, can become obsessed for a cock and thinking themselves in Love; they’ll give up the ‘quest’ ... many a good woman have fallen from the path for the same reason that distract men: you guys call the distraction Love, we guys call it Sex.
You wrote – “I'm sure there's some other astrological influence at the moment too that has me (and other women too I can see from your blog) wanting to pick a fight with you on sexism.”
Reply : Any woman, you included, who wants to pick fight with me about sexism can give it their best shot. Do you want shoot pistols at twenty paces, put gloves on or get naked and go five minues in a mud wrestling pool? Anyway, I am far from a sexist, as anyone will attest who knows me. But everyone knows that my perverse sense of humor is rooted in being a Cancer with Scorpio Moon with Jupiter in the First House. Would it help if I said I mean well? ... Anyway, the bottom line is that I will not, under any circumstances, take crap from any female who is not secure enough in their own skin and who thinks that by ‘restricting’ my Right to enjoy the naked flesh of woman, it will make them feel good. ... MEN have Thelemic Rights too. ... That has always been my issue with idiots who write in telling me they are offended by what I post.
You wrote – “Don't take it personally! We're in the process of adjusting the equilibrium on a global level so that feminine divinity can be re-accepted intellectually. Are you sure you want to pair me up with [a female teacher]? ;) Heh.. we might be more than you can handle old man!”
Reply : What happens if in your next incarnation you come back as a man? In other words; be careful with what you are ‘trying’ to establish for females worldwide. It may come back to bite you in the ass. ... Besides, although women will naturally move into the forefront in the aeon of Aquarius; Aquarius is NOT an aeon where women will necessarily rule over men; it is simply a feminine aeon .... There is a distinction. Aquarius implies the ‘opposite’ within both sexes will merge. Are we not seeing this androgynous energy all around us on the lowest unconscious Malkuthian level? ... Basically, what I’m trying to say is don’t become a female chauvinistic pig, you’ll be no better than the men with whom you seemingly have issues.
Also, I don’t mind pairing you up with [a female teacher] and no, the issue is not whether you guys will be too much to handle, actually, it’s the other way around. When push comes to shove, can you handle me? This ‘old man’ has a lot of fight in him still.

8:00am For the history buffs: Dr. William Robert Woodman died on this date in 1891. He was a General practitioner and police surgeon, his greatest interests were gardening and Freemasonry. He was initiated into the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA) in October 1867 and he succeeded R. W. Little as its Supreme Magus in 1878. Woodman was a founder of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (HOGD) with Samuel Liddel MacGregor Mathers and William Wynn Westcott, sometime before February 12, 1888. He was born in 1828. .......... also, Richard Hodgson, born in Melbourne, Australia in 1855, the president of the American Society for Psychical Research, which studied ESP, died on this date in 1905. .......... and to keep with the flavor of the day, Uri Geller was born on this date in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1946. He calls himself a psychic and is most famous for his claims to be able to bend spoons, keys and other objects with his mind. He claimed that he had visions and that he may have gotten his powers from extraterrestrials. He has sued several people for millions of dollars for calling him a fraud but has lost all the lawsuits. His arch critic has been magician James “The Amazing” Randi, has written a book and numerous articles aimed at demonstrating that Geller is an outright fraud, that he has no psychic powers and that what Geller does amounts to little no more than the parlor tricks of a stage magician. .......... and finally, on December 20, 1968 the infamous Zodiac Killer, California’s most elusive serial killer, began his killing spree in Vallejo by slaying 16 year old Betty Lou Jensen and then her date, 17 year old David Faraday. Although others point out his spree really began two years earlier in October of 1966 but this is debatable. The Zodiac killer claimed he chose his victims based on their astrological signs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday December 19th 2009 – 7:20am For the history buffs: December 19, 1934 was the last appearance of the freak Prince Randian who was born without all his limbs in British Guyana, South America in 1871. He was brought to America before the turn of the century by legendary showman P. T. Barnum who billed him as “The Human Caterpillar”, “The Living Torso” or “The Human Worm.” Prince Randian, a Hindu, was said to possess a quiet sense of humor and was able to speak Hindu, English, German and French. His personal philosophy was that no physical handicap need matter if the mind is dominant. He was able to write, paint, shave and roll his own cigarettes using only his tongue and mouth, the latter feat is demonstrated in the film Freaks. Prince Randian’s only dialogue in the film is almost indecipherable, but he apparently remarks to one of the Rollo brothers, “Can you do anything with your eyebrows?” During the carnival’s off-season, Prince Randian resided in Patterson, New Jersey with his devoted wife and several children. His last public appearance was an evening show at Sam Wagner’s 14th. Street Museum on December 19th. 1934. He collapsed and died shortly after at the age of 63.

Friday December 18th 2009 – 4:55pm Regarding a good movie to watch on Christmas, [see my 6:25am posting] Paul Hohlt writes - "93 Merry Mithrasmass, Hi Jerry, My idea for a good Stressmass movie is Moby's: Alien Sex Party ... Why is it an X-mass movie you ask? Takes place Christmass Eve at a porn store. Has aliens. Has the most exellent song: "Fuck Christmas, Fuck You" also "You Can Have Sex With Anything You Want" and a Feliz Navidad/Merry Christmass medley sung by a porn star. Its a minor classic and I got it. 93 93/93 Love, p."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1:50pm Ah, I posted the above picture this morning and its already stirring up controversy. ... Well Helen, and the two others who want to remain anonymous, let me explain my views. No, I don’t have a “low opinion on women.” ... And you ask, “What does a nude woman have to do with Thelema and Magic?” ... Well, first of all, it’s my blog and as I state above, I’ll post anything that amuses me. Besides, Crowley states that every act is a magickal act; so how can my posting a nude picture of a woman be anything less? ... And yes, I do “enjoy posting pictures of naked women.” ... Lighten up guys. Especially considering that I’ll be posting a new one every day until Christmas :)- If it offends you, don't read my blog.
And for the record; of all the women I’ve married, lived with or dated, and the majority of whom I’ve known, I can say with all certainty is that they haven’t a clue about men ... although they were all authorities. You guys also love to bitch and moan about how your man doesn’t satisfying you ... it’s all about you ... you, you, you ... but rarely do you foul little creatures try to figure out the libido of your mate. There are twelve primary types of male libidos, similar to women and all are based on our Zodiac signs. But basically, women’s libido works out of emotions and Netzach on the Tree; ours works out of Hod and is far more visually oriented.
You guys are blessed with having the gift of multi-orgasms; and in theory the women doesn't have to 'get ready', she is 'always ready'. .... Most men, on the other hand, when we embrace an erotic picture or when we watch a hot women walk by, it slowly if not unconsciously begins to fuel our libido like a volcano, or pressure cooker. Over time, maybe hours, days or weeks, this forces us to seek a release. ... But knowing this, I’ve yet to figure out why you guys want to destroy the 'building pressure' by criticizing us if we post a picture of a nude women, or something like that? In other words; why are you guys always trying to suppress and destroy our libido; which is very fragile? Psychology says it is because of insecurity and jealousy; the Qabalah says that these negative traits are rooted in the Qliphoth of Netzach; wherein women naturally function. ... Anyway, when most women have driven their mate’s sex drive to an all time low they’ll bitch at them for not satisfying their needs! But why don’t you guys try to learn how to ‘raise’ the male libido for a change? You'll benefit from it!
Again; each Zodiac sign fuels its libido differently. If erotic pictures, movies or art smokes the male libido, who cares? The issue should not be 'what' fuels the libido as much as when the volcano is ready to erupt, you're there. In conclusion, think of it this way. Do you want a volcanic eruption comparable to a standard science fair project or an eruption like Krakatoa!

12:10pm Today's joke:
It is near the Christmas break of the school year. The students have turned in all their work and there is really nothing more to do. All the children are restless and the teacher decides to have an early dismissal.
Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can leave

early today."
Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart and

will answer the question."
Teacher: "Who said 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?"
But before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln."
Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home."
Johnny is mad that Susie answered the question first.
Teacher: "Who said 'I Have a Dream'?"
But before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King."
Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go."
Johnny is even madder than before.
Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?"
Again, before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy."
Teacher: "That's right Nancy , you may also leave."
Johnny is boiling mad that he has not been able to answer to any of

the questions.
Then, when the teacher turned her back, Johnny said, "I wish these bitches

would keep their mouths shut!"
The teacher, shocked, quickly turned around: "WHO SAID THAT?"
Johnny: "TIGER WOODS. CAN I GO NOW?"

8:20am Heather sent a nice email; she's been enjoying the blog. I replied - "Glad you’ve been enjoying the postings on the blog. Magickal theory is so mandatory for magicians to learn; after all, we are suppose to be acting like scientists in our pursuits and scientists need rules and structure. With that in mind, sooner or later all magicians reach their level of incompetence on the Tree of Life. It is here that they trip on the path and fall on their face. There is absolutely no true way for us to know when this will occur. Our birth charts give us some indication as to where problems might take place but due to ‘Free Will’ a magician can modify the obvious; or at least that is our goal. ... Anyway, it is our duty, as the Teachers, to pick up our students after they fall, dust em’ off, wipe their nose and figure out why they fell and then send them on their way. To date; no one has ever climbed the Tree without a serious incident; not Crowley, not Grady, not myself or anyone. It was so sad that [the Practicus'] ego got in his way with his very first fall and it brought him down. We talk all the time in magick of how we MUST learn to conquered, not destroyed, our ego because if it remains outside our control in the Ruach it will corrupt all that lays below on the Tree of Life. [The Practicus] will be the poster child for this dis-ease of the mind. ... On a final note; it is important to remember, as in every single case from Crowley on down; when a person trips on the path they are always the last person to recognize a problem or to acknowledge any issues. This is why a Teacher is so important but if a student refuses to accept his Teacher’s advice and then he goes off babbling into some egotistically bathed tangent then irreparable damage to a psychic system can occur. [Again] This is why teachers are so important. Even your own, as much as she is not that high up in the system, uses her own Teachers and others for advice all the time. She, like yourself, has a full support system behind her.
Anyway, hope all is well with you. As you can tell by my blog I get moody around this time of year ... everyone goes away and the streets get very empty, stores closes, even the liquor store a half block away closes for two weeks! I got to walk over six blocks just for a lousy six pack! I hate this time of the year! Fun stops."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7:20am Ok, ok ... to address two emails; when are you guys going to learn when I write tongue in cheek and when I'm serious? For starters; the reason I hate Christmas is because it exposes all the 'closet Christians' amongst our Thelemic ranks who become less than party-like and who get into the festive mood and become good ... good? ... to Hell with good!!! Where are all the party animals and whores? ... thus, my 6:25am posting is a jab at all the 'seasonal good girls' and not so much an indication of how I'll spend my day. If typical, this Christmas, like last, I'll be spending alone. Sniffle snifle.
... and Mike, thanks for the movie suggestion but I'm not a Christmas slasher movie-kinda guy; I like romantic comedies. I was thinking more along the lines of watching Caligula. The ending always makes my cry like a baby when Caligula dies; I'm such a sensitive person [I hear woman like this in a guy]. ... So, if any girl out there wants to spend the Holiday over here, she won't be turned away.
And finally, to answer the other question - yes it does seem like Santa's three words or 'Ho Ho Ho' represents the three girls who were going to be sold off as whores. For those who don't know: the word 'Ho' originated in the deep South here in America and is more of a Southern pronunciation of the word 'whore'. Some believe that by dropping the 'r' sound it is less derogatory of an insult to a woman.
Here is an actual Newspaper article from 2007 :
Laughing Santa gets the old heave ho ho ho
A Santa in an Australian department store said on Wednesday he has been fired for saying "ho ho ho" and singing Christmas songs to children.
Employment company Westaff, which supplies stores with red-robed, white-bearded Father Christmases, had earlier asked its Santas to say "ha ha ha" because the word "ho," which is American slang for whore, could offend women, media reported.
In the latest incident, the Cairns Post newspaper said 70-year-old John Oakes was fired on Monday for saying "ho ho ho" and for singing the Christmas song Jingle Bells. "They're trying to kill the spirit of Christmas," said Oakes, a retired entertainer who has been a Santa for three years.
Westaff spokesman Bert Jansz told the paper Oakes had been dismissed because of his attitude, and not for his ho ho ho-ing.

6:25am Yes, I am having an 'Open House' tonight at Love's Sake Clerk House which is here in Berkeley starting at 6:30pm. Being near supper, feel free to bring something to eat and drink and don't feel obligated to bring enough for anyone other than yourself. Although, extra beer is always appreciated.
As for next week, in honor of our Open House falling on Christmas, I will be erecting a North Pole in my apartment where I can play Santa Claus. Since he is the Patron Saint of whores if any young thing wants to come over and tell me her sins while we drink and watch movies she will not turned away! :)- Email me if you have a good suggestion for a movie.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6:20am I love facts regarding Christmas and here is one that I thought I might share with you all. First, did you know that St. Nicholas (yes, of Christmas fame) is an actual Patron Saint? If you don’t know what that means let me explain. There are hundreds of types of patron saints but basically this is a person who is regarded as the advocate in heaven for a nation, a place, a profession, a particular activity, or a person, etc & etc. You can pray to a specific Patron Saint for them to ask God on your behalf for help in your affairs on Earth. In some ways he or she is simply a go-between. So, who is St. Nicholas the patron saint of ? ... Here it comes, St. Nick, or good old ‘Santa Claus’ is the Patron Saint of prostitutes and whores. Yes, it’s true. You can Google search it and you’ll discover that I’m not lying. ... and now you know why Santa knows who has been naughty and nice; anyway, legend has it that the real life Saint Nicholas became aware of a desperately poor parishioner who had three daughters whom he could no longer take care of, nor did he have dowry to offer for their marriages and so the father planned to sell them into prostitution in order to provide some sort of means of support for the rest of the family. To save the girls from a life of whoredom Saint Nicholas secretly supplied three bags of gold to the man's home which allowed the three daughters to have sufficient means to find a husband. ... and so folks, now you also know the origins of Santa’s cry of the three sacred words – “Ho Ho Ho” ... which also proves that Santa was the inventor of ghetto talk.

6:15am For the history buffs: Karl Maria Wilgut was born on this date in Vienna, Austria on 1866. He was a seer throughout his life and his history of schizophrenia, which involved megalomania and paranoid delusions, was the basis for him being ruled insane. In 1933, after he had become ‘sane’ and was released, Wilgut was chosen by Heinrich Himmler to be his private Magus and councilor on magickal and religious subjects, because of his “clairvoyant knowledge of the ancient Germanic past.” He has been called the ‘Rasputin to Himmler.’ It was Wilgut who established Wewelsburg Castle as the ceremonial centre of the SS. Directly after the war Wilgut suffered a stroke which left him partially paralyzed, with loss of speech. He was permitted to journey to his elected homeland where he was again hospitalized, in Salzburg and died on January 3, 1946. .......... and Charles Frambach Berlitz died on this date at University Hospital in Tamarac at the age of 90 in 2003. He was a noted author of many popular books on unexplained phenomena. He is to be credited with internationally popularizing the phenomena known today as the Bermuda Triangle, due in large part to a book he wrote in 1974. He wrote such books as The Mystery of Atlantis (1969), Mysteries of the Forgotten World (1970), The Bermuda Triangle (1974), The Philadelphia Experiment (1979) and The Roswell Incident (1980), to name but a few.

Thursday December 17th 2009 – 12:55pm After sending Ricardo Flores an email about Jodorowsky's tarot book he replied - "Jerry, 93! I highly recommend Jodorowsky's tarot book. It's been out in Spanish for a long time, and I took a workshop with him. It definitely added an important dimension to my use of the Tarot by seeing it as an organic, living mandala that uses a visual language to reflect the microcosmic universe. Thank you for the link! Ricardo. ... Ps. You forgot to mention that the tarot you own comes directly from Jodorowsky's hands. 93 93/93." .... Reply: Yes, you are right, I did forget to mentione that the deck had come from Jodorowsky himself. I so revere the gift that it sits above my desk on my altar of 'things' of daily focus. Subliminals while I type. :)

11:00am NEWS: An Auckland church using a mischievous billboard which was intended to provoke conversation about spiritual matters at Christmas, has angered other Christians. St Matthew-in-the-City put up a Christmas billboard today featuring an illustration the church felt could disturb some. It has been defaced within five hours of being erected. As seen below; Mary and Joseph are in bed. Joseph looks down dejected. Mary looks sad. The caption reads: "Poor Joseph. God is a hard act to follow." ... 10:45am I received this email from Evelyn; she writes - "93 Jerry, Don't know if you are aware of a new Tarot publication by one of your favourite directors A. Jodorowsky. Here are the details:
Best wishes, Evelyn."
Reply: Thanks! Jodorowsky is one of my all time favorite directors. I have many of his movies on DVD. A very close and dear friend of mine named Ricardo Flores was gracious enough to send me Jodorowsky's actual Tarot deck a few years ago. I love it. ... I will definitely be picking the book up; its release date is January 2010. Thanks for the info! The blurb on the website which sells the book reads:
"Filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky's insights into the Tarot as a spiritual path. Alejandro Jodorowsky's profound study of the Tarot, which began in the early 1950s, reveals it to be far more than a simple divination device. The Tarot is first and foremost a powerful instrument of self-knowledge and a representation of the structure of the soul. THE WAY OF TAROT shows that the entire deck is structured like a temple, or a mandala, which is both an image of the world and a representation of the divine. The authors use the sacred art of the original Marseille Tarot - created during a time of religious tolerance in the 11th century - to reconnect with the roots of the Tarot's Western esoteric wisdom. They explain that the Tarot is a nomadic cathedral whose parts - the 78 cards or arcana - should always be viewed with an awareness of the whole structure. This understanding is essential to fully grasp the Tarot's hermetic symbolism. The authors explore the secret associations behind the hierarchy of the cards and the correspondences between the suits and energies within human beings. Each description of the Major Arcana includes key word summaries, symbolic meanings, traditional interpretations, and a section where the card speaks for itself. Jodorowsky and Costa then take the art of reading the Tarot to a depth never before possible. Using their work with Tarology, a new psychological approach that uses the symbolism and optical language of the Tarot to create a mirror image of the personality, they offer a powerful tool for self-realization, creativity, and healing."
I also suggest my readers hunt down the dvd of Jodorowsky's movie FANDO & LIS (1968); although strange in itself (see my movie review) it is the lengthy documentaries on Jodorowsky's life and tarot included with the dvd which are the real gems.

7:10am For the history buffs: Dr. William Wynn Westcott was born on this date in 1848. He was a dedicated physician, public servant and Coroner for North East London and author of several medical texts. An active Freemason, he is best remembered for having founded the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (HOGD) with Samuel Liddel MacGregor Mathers and Dr. William Woodman, sometime before February 12, 1888. This was not a Masonic society but attracted many Freemasons of the day. From 1892 he administered the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA), leaving the Golden Dawn, and its contentious members, to Mathers. After 1910, Westcott had no further involvement with the Golden Dawn. He died on July 30, 1925 in Durban, Republic of South Africa of Bright’s disease. ................... also, Grigori Rasputin died on this date in 1917. He was known as the “mad monk.” He was a wandering peasant and self-styled holy man, who became a favorite of Nicholas II and the Empress Alexandra in 1905 after he laid hands on their son Alexis and apparently healed the boy of hemophilia. Rasputin was soon a fixture in the royal household and a particular confidante to Alexandra. Wild-eyed and unkempt, Rasputin was strangely charismatic and his personal magnetism was legendary; at the same time his bouts of drinking, womanizing, and wild behavior created a scandal in Russian society. He was finally killed in 1917 by a cabal of aristocrats who feared Rasputin’s influence had grown too great. Rasputin’s death became the stuff of legend: assassins fed him enough poisoned cakes and wine to kill ten, and when the poison failed to kill Rasputin they shot him and beat him. Still Rasputin didn’t die, until finally the men bound him and tossed him into the Neva River, where, after his body had been recovered, the autopsy showed that he drowned. ................... and on December 17, 1920 Leonard H. Stringfield was born. He was the American UFO pioneer who founded ‘Civilian Research, Interplanetary Flying Objects’ (CRIFO) in 1954. His most famous book was Situation Red: The UFO Siege (1977). He died on December 18, 1994 in his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, from lung cancer. ...................and finally, on December 17, 1960 Carlos Castaneda, a graduate student in anthropology doing research on medicinal plants used by Indians of the Southwest, visited the home of a Yaqui Indian named Don Juan in Arizona, for the first time. Shortly afterwards Don Juan made Castaneda a sorcerer’s apprentice and introduced him to the world of peyote and visions; where he would learn the art of a diablero, or a sorcerer with the ability to shape shift. However, although most people believe that what Castaneda wrote was truly brilliant and entertaining, they also argue that it is hardly factual. ................... Militza ‘Milla’ Natasha Jovovich was born on this date in 1975 in Kiev, USSR (now Ukraine). She is a Russian model who gained notoriety when she was voted as one of Revlon's Most Unforgettable Women in the World in 1988 when she was only 12 years old. She has also acted in many movies; such as The Fifth Element (1997) with Bruce Willis. She also played the title role as a hot diseased-modified human (Hemophagia) assassin in Ultraviolet (2006) but one of my personal favorite roles is when she played Joan of Arch in The Messenger (1999); although she is probably most famous for acting in the Resident Evil series which first premiered in 2002.

What horrid time of year. It's ironic. So many people feel depressed...Christmas cheer? They can shove it up their ass (along with the tree :))... 93 93/93 Jerri." ....... and I replied : ... yes, I’m feeling feisty. Last year as I sat alone in my apartment on Christmas drinking beer with nothing good on TV and all I could do was scratch my nuts, burp and go “Ho Ho Ho.” This year doesn’t look much more promising. Even the few girls that I do know are going away to spend the day with their families. Yes, I hate this time of the year.

7:05am am For the history buffs: The English ‘witch’ James Murrell died on this date in 1860. He was born the seventh son of a seventh son and was known as ‘Cunning Murrell.’ He openly enjoyed a lucrative career as a white magician, healing and casting spells. Murrell often said that he was “the Devil’s Master” while claiming that he had the power to exorcise spirits and overcome witchcraft by counter-spells. Murrell was a secretive man, he traveled only at night, and always carried an umbrella with him regardless of the weather. On December 15, 1860, the day before he died, Murrell accurately predicted the time of his death to the minute. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Hadleigh churchyard. ................ also, Arthur C. Clarke was born on this date in Minehead, England in 1917. He wrote Childhood’s End, which went on to become one of most popular and acclaimed science fiction novels of all time. He also wrote the novel 2001: A Space Odyssey, based on his own short story The Sentinel. Clarke has published over 75 novels, numerous short stories and essays; along with his literary work; he is credited with coming up with the idea for communications satellites. Since 1956 he has lived in Sri Lanka. ................. and the fraternal twins Philip Kendred Dick and Jane Kendred Dick were born on this date in Chicago in 1928. As for Phillip, he dropped out of the University of California before getting a degree and began writing. By 1968 he had published almost thirty books and short stories; such as Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which was made into the classic movie Blade Runner. Another of his short story, We Can Remember It for You Wholesale, became the classic movie Total Recall. Dick was a prolific writer, but for most of his career he lived in utter poverty with ruined health admittedly due to methamphetamines and LSD. Then, on March 22, 1974, Philip K. Dick had a transcendental mystical experience which he described as “an invasion of my mind by a transcendentally rational mind.” This experience caused him to begin recording his thoughts and experiences into a journal, which he referred to as the Exegesis. The Exegesis contained a phenomenal amount of religious thought and philosophy which inevitably formed the basis for his Valis trilogy. Sadly, Philip K. Dick died of heart failure following a stroke on March 2nd, 1982 in Santa Anna, California.

4:25pm There are three stages to every man's life. These are often equated with childhood or pre-Saturn Return (i.e. before thirty), then there is ‘life’ or adulthood between 30-50 and final after our second Saturn Return (around mid 50s) we shift toward the cycle of death ... thus the cycles are of birth, life and death ... but any true magician knows, around this period of time, that these cycles are : when he believes in Santa Claus; when he doesn’t believe in Santa Claus and when he is Santa Claus.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1:45pm Yes, Virginia, with my beard I do look a lot like Santa Claus and if any girls do show up on Christmas I’m just going to smile and let them know that I know when they've been naughty or nice — so let’s skip all the small talk ... and then, smiling, I’ll ask them if they ever made it with a fat guy with a whip? If that don’t work I’ll be wearing my Mistletoe underwear!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1:15pm Have you heard the one about Santa and his reindeer landing on top of an outhouse? Santa looked around for a moment, then hollered - “No no, Rudolph! I said the SCHMIDT house!”

10:41am My old friend Mike writes – “93 Jer. Sounds like you’ll be having fun on Christmas. I’m spending it with wife and kids. How many girls do you expect? You old dog. So, you won’t be decorating a Tree? 93 93/93 M” ... Reply: In truth, I expect none. What I wrote was tongue in cheek. I don’t expect anyone will ever email me. There are too many closet Christians celebrating the holidays and not enough pagans who want to simply party, eat, drink and be merry. Still, if any girl does want to stop by it I would make me very happy and take my mind off the foul Christmas atmosphere. ... Personaly, I’ve never liked decorating Tree but I will gladly work on a bush if one is brought! Ho! Ho! Ho! Stay warm in old New England, enjoy the snow. I’m walking around in a t-shirt!

10:05am Jay writes, after reading the blog – “93 Jerry, I hate Christmas too. Long live Lucifermas! 93 93/93.” ... Reply: sounds good but is the 25th Lucifer's birthday? I think, to really take the foul taste of Christmas out of our mouth, we need to celebrate someone else's birthday who was born on the same day ... to take our minds off the evils of Christ. ... How about Ripleymas instead? ... Robert LeRoy Ripley was born on December 25th 1890 in Santa Rosa, California. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! cartoon panel was a staple of American newspapers in the first half of the 20th century. The cartoon featured true-life oddities from around the globe, always with the tagline “Believe It... Or Not!” ... but how would you celebrate the day? ... Personally and no joke, I'll be leaving my door open so any girl who wants, who has no place to go for the holidays, they can come over and play Believe It Or Not with me! Email me if you're interested. :)-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7:35am Just for the record, I hate Christmas. The next one of you son's of bitches who sends me a Christmas email, card or leaves a happy message on my answering machine I'm going to hunt you down and shove a tree up your ass ... but then again, at least in Luis & Dave's card, after the printed message: "May this Christmas season bring you great happiness and joy!", they were thoughtful enough to add "and a Japanese virgin." ... Solstice cards are exempt. You guys are safe.

7:30am Somerset Maugham died on this date in 1965. In 1906, while in England, he wrote the novel titled The Magician but it would not be released until November of 1908. One of the main characters in this book was based on Aleister Crowley even though Maugham shared only a brief acquaintance with him. Maugham later wrote, “I do not remember how I came to think that Aleister Crowley might serve as the model for the character whom I called Oliver Haddo; nor, indeed, how I came to think of writing that particular novel at all ... though Aleister Crowley served, as I have said, as the model for Oliver Haddo, it is by no means a portrait of him. I made my character more striking in appearance, more sinister and more ruthless than Crowley ever was. I gave him magical powers that Crowley, though he claimed them, certainly never possessed.” Aleister Crowley bought the book in late November of 1908 when it first hit the stores. He wrote, “The title attracted me strongly, The Magician. The author, bless my soul! No other than my old and valued friend, William Somerset Maugham, my nice young doctor whom I remembered so well from the dear old days of the Chat Blanc ... Yes, I did myself proud, for the Magician, Oliver Haddo, was Aleister Crowley; his house ‘Skene’ was Boleskine. The hero’s witty remarks were, many of them, my own. He had, like Arnold Bennett, not spared his shirt cuff.”

Monday December 14th 2009 – 8:20am I've been reading a great book of late; it's called Pandemonium and Parade by Michael Dylan Foster. It a study of Japanese Monster and the culture of Yokai [Berkeley: University of California Press, 2009, 291 pgs]. The back cover reads - "Water sprites, mountain goblins, shape-shifting animals, and the monsters known as yôkai have long haunted the Japanese cultural landscape. This history of the strange and mysterious in Japan seeks out these creatures in folklore, encyclopedias, literature, art, science, games, manga, magazines, and movies, exploring their meanings in the Japanese cultural imagination and offering an abundance of valuable and, until now, understudied material. Michael Dylan Foster tracks yôkai over three centuries, from their appearance in seventeenth-century natural histories to their starring role in twentieth-century popular media. Focusing on the intertwining of belief and commodification, fear and pleasure, horror and humor, he illuminates different conceptions of the "natural" and the "ordinary" and sheds light on broader social and historical paradigms—and ultimately on the construction of Japan as a nation." I am only about a third through the book so far ... but I highly recommend it to my readers.

7:30am For the history buffs: Nostradamus, the French physician and astrologer who dabbled in prophecy, was born on this date in St. Remy, France in 1503. His volume called the Centuries is a set of vague and often cataclysmic predictions set in quatrains. ................. and equally important, on December 14, 1995 near Naguabo, on the east coast of Puerto Rico, several caged rabbits were “found dead with holes in the neck area, without a drop of blood.” Other rabbits had disappeared and near the rabbit cages were tracks with a three-toed claw, attributed to the Chupacabra, or “Goat sucker.”

Sunday December 13th 2009 – 2:30pm To address a question - "Am I to believe that when you talk about 'wires' you are referrring to paths?" ... Reply: Yes, but first it is important to understand that the history of the Tree of Life as a symbol has evolved greatly over the centuries. Let us examine a few of the more critical points that may help elucidate the topic.
Many people mistakenly think that the image that is found in most Qabalistic books is an ancient Jewish glyph - it is not. Although the Tree’s theoretical origins are webbed deep in Judaic lore, its design was actually conceived in the mind of a Christian, a German Jesuit known as Athanasius Kircher who was born in 1601. Kircher attended the Jesuit College in Rome where he devoted most of his life to collecting information from many different religions, observing the Universe, analyzing, synthesizing, making numerous graphs and publishing what he believed to be other people’s religious Truths. His books are filled with a multitude of beautiful illustrations designed to make his points clearer. In one such book titled Oedipus Aegyptiacus (1652) he drew a glyph of the “Sephirothic System” on a Tree of Life as he has ascertained it to be from the Hebrews. His drawing clearly shows three pillars comprising of ten spheres, which he then connected by using twenty-two paths of his own devising while attributing these paths to the Hebrew letters. Later Hebrew Qabalists so embraced Kircher’s design as being an accurate portrayal of God’s Will that over a period of time it has become an acceptable part of Judaic Mysticism. But most historians agree, it is Kircher’s design that is the earliest rendition of the Tree of Life most readily used today. Prior to Kircher there were numerous designs of the Tree of Life showing a diverse number of paths and spheres; Kircher was responsible for developing the 22 Path system based on the 22 Hebrew Letters.
It was during the occult revival in the late 1700s that the next most important foundation of the Tree of Life was being established. It began with such men as Antoine Court de Gébelin (?-1784). He published nine volumes between 1773 and 1782. He saw the earlier Tarot de Marseille, which was simply being used as a card game, as holding what he believed to be an initiated interpretation of some arcane repository of timeless esoteric wisdom. In his eighth volume titled Monde primitif, analysé et comparé avec le monde moderne (The Primitive World, Analyzed and Compared to the Modern World 1781) he carefully laid out his Tarot theories. In this book he also published an article written by comte de Mellet who makes the first recorded connection between the cards and the Hebrew letters and the Qabalah. He often used the terms The Book of Thoth when referring to the Tarot; claiming, like Gébelin, that the Tarot cards have a secret origin going back into initiation chambers in ancient Egypt.
The next major historical change to the Tree of Life occurred when Jean Baptiste Alliette (1738-1791), more commonly known by the pseudonym Etteilla, published the first Tarot Deck in 1788 that was designed specifically for esoteric reasons. It had 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. He also founded the ‘Society of Interpreters of the Book of Thoth’ in 1788, which was the very first organization known to be devoted exclusively to the study of Tarot. Etteilla’s legacy is a mixed one, many of the symbols he used between Tarot, astrology and elements on the cards have become unpopular in occult teachings and have been abandoned. Still, Etteilla was the first person to publish a book with a methodology for Tarot, titled Manière de se récréer avec le jeu de cartes nomées Tarots (1785) and later Cour thèorique et pratique du Livre du Thot (1790) which sparked the popularization and the further study of the Tarot by other occultists. In the end, whether you agree with his teachings or not, he was still truly a pioneer in occult teachings and practices and one of his the major claims to fame is that he was the first to assign the zodiacal signs and Four Elements to selected cards.
After Etteilla came Eliphas Levi (1810-1875); he further popularized the connections between the Tarot and the Kabbalah by connecting the cards with the Hebrew Alphabet and although there are many other authors emerging during this period, it was his work that cemented the association of the Tarot in occult study which has become the main model for the development and interpretation of the Tarot. Since the major Arcanum now had Hebrew letters assigned to them it would only be a matter of time before the cards became associated with the 22 paths on Kircher’s Tree of Life that correlated to the Hebrew letters. Hence the Thoth cards and the Tree of life merged. But since the Tree represents everything, both above and below, both externally and internally, it only makes sense that there should be a correlation.
In fact; the evolution of the Tree continues as modern magicians realize that the Sephiroth on the Tree are also our Chakras and part of our psychic anatomy. So yes, to answer your question, the paths are truly a western 'interpretation' of how and what type of energy, or prana, flows from one point to another. In Yoga the paths (Thoth cards) are called Nadis, or nerves centers, and they give us clues as to how to take the energy from one Chakra and move it into another. The three most important Nadis are the Left, Right and Middle Pillars but there are many other grouping of nerves (paths) wherein specific types of energy flows. As an example: Crowley wrote extensively on the Formula of ON (Liber Aleph) and the paths or Nadis which channel a specific type of energy which he felt gave Thelemites a magickal Foundation.
... but for magicians, never forget, like all wires, on all planes, the Nadis can burn out if misused. Yogic training is filled with warnings as is magick itself. Sadly, too many magicians think that they are exempt from playing by these rules ... too many magicians realize the hard way that Nature will always right the wrong.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10:30am Here is a posting from this blog from May 2007; enjoy - "I thought I might share some insights with my readers because they are important lessons for all of us to learn; regardless of which magickal degree that you hold on the Tree of Life. Never forget; Nature will always try to right the wrong and keep you on, or try to return you to Malkuth (Earth) or ‘this plane.’ Mankind has no place climbing up into the branches, or so the Gods tell us. You must pay attention to the signs or you’ll fall out of the Tree. All magicians, starting right with the Neophyte, will forever be tempted by their personal demon, or Kundrie. If you are so shallow as to think that such a temptresses will only use ‘sex’ as the weapon to stop your ascent then you are a foolish little rabbit. They have an arsenal. Besides, where does it say that your demon cannot use ‘anything’ to tempt you? Remember; the demon rules the Square [in your magickal degree]; he gives where you’re weakest. The square in your magickal degree must be put under control otherwise the demon, i.e. the Kundrie, will tempt you in relationship to the kind of energy where you presently reside in order to pull you back down to Malkuth. Your Angel is pulling from Above, the Demon from Below. Being a magician is not a part-time occupation; if you cannot take heed of the signs, starting on Malkuth, then you should never consider going higher."
Many magicians fail due to their insistent thinking that their daily lives are not that important in their magickal quest up the Tree of Life. Once they begin working off Malkuth into Yesod or above, they feel Malkuth is accomplished and they begin ignoring their every day life. This will inevitably bring them down.
In Malkuth-10 you study Malkuth.
In Yesod-9 you study Yesod and Yesod in relationship to Malkuth.
In Hod-8 you study Hod and Hod in relationship with Yesod and Malkuth.
Etc and etc ... all the way up the Tree. ... No sphere is ever left behind.
Those who ignore their past are often too quick to forget that every act; even something so simple as sleeping with a student on Malkuth, is a magickal act that sets things in motion from below all the way up to where you reside on the Tree and back down again; for better or worse. And without carefully recorded diaries detailing mundane activities how can they ever realize much less interpret 'signs' as to whether or not it is their demon or Angel who is in control on Malkuth and kicking the Foundation out from under them?
It is easy. ... If you are at odds with those around you; with a life filled with misunderstandings, fighting and Chaos, then someone in your immediate circle is out of orbit and is merely a meteor colliding with other heavenly bodies. Crowley clearly informs us that the Heavens are large enough for all Stars to exist peacefully and in Harmony. So, if there are problems, act like a scientist! If Chaos is occurring you must look for the common denominator that is disrupting the experiment called Life.
But if the majority of people are pointing their finger at you, don't dig your feet in and yell how everyone else is wrong, not you. ... Remember, 'thinking' (i.e. Hod-Intellect) is energy in motion; this is the basic rule of prana and 'Yoga 101.' ... 'Thinking incorrectly' can easily take you out of orbit, especially in the Ruach where the Laws are far more defined than those on the horizontal plane. A rule of thumb, on the Malkuthian plane we always say that it is the car that vered off the road but in the Ruach we stop blaming anything mundane or outside ourselves and we face the phantom; it is usually the 'driver', in a moment of not paying attention, who 'thought' incorrectly and missed the Stop sign! ... The bottom line; if you direct your thoughts [i.e. lightning bolt] incorrectly you can do irreparable damage to the psychic wires that you are beginning to form toward Netzach which could take years to repair, if at all. Study the Thoth card of The Tower which unites Hod with Netzach, study it well. Then show me where amongst all the Thoth cards is the card showing people rebuilding the Tower once it (i.e the path) has been destroyed by lightning.

7:45am For the history buffs: Mary Butts was born on this date in 1890, she grew up in her family’s home at Salterns on the coast of Dorset, England.. She was the great granddaughter of Thomas Butts, patron and friend of William Blake. After a complicated childhood, she married the poet and publisher John Rodker, had a daughter, and then left him and the child for Cecil Maitland. Maitland deepened her involvement with drugs, introduced her to the black magic of Aleister Crowley and together they both briefly spent time at Aleister Crowley’s Abbey of Thelema. However, they later broke up and she later married Gabriel Aiken, an alcoholic and a homosexual who also eventually left her. In the 1920s, while living between London and France, she partied excessively and lived a very wild life which shocked most of the people who knew her. She wrote six novels, three volumes of short stories, poetry, two pamphlet-length essays, and numerous reviews. Her most notable works are Ashe of Rings (1925), Armed with Madness (1928), Imaginary Letters (1928), The Death of Felicity Taverner (1932), The Macedonian (1933) and Scenes from the Life of Cleopatra (1935). She died at the age of forty-six at West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance on Match 8th 1937. ................. on this date in 1973 a French man named Claude Vorilhon claims that he was in a volcano near Clermont-Ferrand, France, when he saw a UFO. He says a radiant small human-shaped being with pale green skin and almond eyes emerged from the ship and took him aboard where he traveled to a distant planet of the Elohim. Here he was introduced to Jesus, Buddha, Confucius and even Joseph Smith, who told him that he was “the final prophet” and they entrusted him with a message that revealed the true origin of mankind. The human race was created from the DNA of ‘aliens’ some 25,000 years ago and that the Earth was ‘created’ as an alien laboratory. Among other things, Claude Vorilhon learned that cloning is the way to immortality and there is no God or soul. According to him, our alien creators want us to be beautiful and sexy and to enjoy a sensuous life, free from the restrictions of traditional Judeo-Christian morality. They also told Claude Vorilhon that henceforth he would be known as Raël, which means “messenger.” His followers are called Raëlians. ............ and finally, on December 13, 1974 John G. Bennett, while taking his daily walk through the grounds of Sherborne House, died at the age of 77. He had met Gurdjieff in 1921 while traveling in Turkey and he would later carry on where he left off. He is also the man responsible for letting the world know that Gurdjieff’s book Meeting With Remarkable Men was only an ‘allegory’ with little truth therein. Of the many books he wrote, most will remember Ennegram Studies, The Way To Be Free, The Dramatic Universe: Man and His Nature and volume two of this book called The Foundations of Moral Philosophy.
